Dra. Amira I. Ramírez Salgado (México, 1986) bailarina, docente e investigadora. Graduada del programa de maestría Creative Practice: Dance Professional Pathway por el Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance en colaboración con Independent Dance y Siobhan Davies Studios en Londres, Inglaterra. Es licenciada en Danza Contemporánea por la Universidad de las Américas en Puebla, México bajo la tutoría de Ray Eliot Schwartz y Mayra Morales. Obtuvo la beca danceWEB por parte de la fundación Jardin d’Europe para formar parte de una residencia en el Festival Impulstanz de Viena. Estudió la técnica Asymmetrical-Motion impartida por el investigador Pablo Lucas Condró en Madrid, España. Del 2018 al 2021 se desempeñó como profesora de la Especialidad de Danza de la Facultad de Artes Escénicas de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú PUCP. Es coordinadora de la muestra anual de videodanza Cuerpo a la Pantalla que se realiza en colaboración con el Festival Internacional Primate Escénico en la ciudad de Xalapa, México. Recientemente finalizó sus estudios de doctorado en Danza en la universidad De Montfort University Leicester en el Reino Unido. Actualmente reside en Coatepec, Veracruz, México.

Amira Ramírez Salgado (b. Mexico, 1986) is a dancer and researcher. She completed a master’s programme in Creative Practice: Dance Professional Pathway at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, in collaboration with Independent Dance and Siobhan Davies Studios in London, UK. Amira holds a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance from the Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico. She lectured for four years in the Dance Department of the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) in Lima, Peru. Amira directs the annual video dance festival Cuerpo a la Pantalla, held in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. She recently finished her PhD in Dance at De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester, UK where she also taught part-time on the BA and the MA in Choreography programme. Amira also taught as a part-time lecturer in the Shakespeare and Creativity MA programme at the School of English and Drama at the University of Birmingham, UK. She currently resides in Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico.
